IPPO deploys 1,698 personnel for 2023 BSKE

CITY OF ILAGAN, Isabela (PIA) - At least 1,968 police personnel were deployed by the Isabela Police Provincial Office (IPPO) to ensure the security in the conduct of the 2023 Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Elections (BSKE) in Isabela.

The deployment began last October 23 where the send-off ceremony was officially conducted at the IPPO and was attended by representatives from the Comelec-Isabela, Philippine Army, Schools Division Office of Isabela, Philippine Coast Guard-Northeast Luzon District, and the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) in the province.

Acting IPPO Provincial Director Col. Julio R. Go said the involvement of other security personnel is needed to ensure the smooth, orderly, and peaceful conduct of elections in the province.

“While the province has no recorded election-related incidents, the involvement of everybody, the government agencies and other sectors are needed to make the 2023 BSKE peaceful and orderly,” Go said.

He added that the security personnel like the police, the military including the coast guard urged the cooperation of everyone to help in securing  the BSKE elections. He also assured that the Provincial Joint Security Control Center (PJCC) will closely monitor and make the necessary assistances to ensure a peaceful and orderly elections.

Meanwhile, Isabela Provincial Election Supervisor Atty. Manuel Castillo made the same call of the IPPO to all government agencies and the private sector to guard the conduct of the 2023 BSKE in the province. (MGE / PIA Isabela)
