VIRAC, Catanduanes (PIA)- Governor Joseph C. Cua, has issued a memorandum suspending classes and work in the entire province of Catanduanes on October 31 & November 3.  

Pusuant to Memorandum no. 280 s. 2023, work and classes are suspended on the said dates in observance of All Saints' Day and All Souls' Day,  to provide workers and students with ample time to take a mental health break, as well as visit their departed loved ones.

Meanwhile, the suspension of work in the private sector and other offices is left to the discretion of their respective management.

However,  offices whose functions involve the delivery of basic and health services, preparedness/response to disasters and calamities, and/or the performance of other vital services shall continue with their operations and render the necessary services to the public.

Malacañang has already declared October 30, November 1 and November 2 as special non-working holidays in the country in line with the Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Elections and in observance of the All Souls and All Saints' Day. (EABagadiong)
