Iligan gears up for Paskuhan Festival celebration

ILIGAN CITY (PIA)--The city government here is gearing up for the celebration of the Paskuhan (Christmas) Festival with the aim of promoting peace, unity, and love through the spirit of Christmas.

According to City Information Officer Alfredo Paradela III, the festival's theme, "Christmas Around the World," symbolizes a collective step forward in light of the ongoing conflicts between Ukraine and Russia and Palestine and Israel, emphasizing the importance of peace, love, and togetherness during the festive season.

The aim is to call for global harmony and unity, recognizing that some people are unable to celebrate Christmas due to challenging circumstances in their respective countries.

Meanwhile, Paskuhan Festival Executive Management Board Chairperson Bong Capitan explained that they are rolling out preparations early.

“We decided to roll it out really because, investment-wise, we might as well want to enjoy what we are investing,” he said.
