CITY OF SAN FERNANDO, Pampanga (PIA) -- Department of Education (DepEd) recognized education partners and best implementers of learner formation programs in Central Luzon.
Regional Office III’s Education Support Services Division conducted the Awards Ceremony for the 2023 Gawad KATIG (Katuwang sa Isang Hangaring De Kalidad Na Edukasyson) and Gawad PAG-GABAY (Pagpupugay sa Gurong Taga-Hubog, Punong Guro at Bayaning Pinunong Mag-Aaral).
DepEd Regional Director May Eclar said Gawad KATIG aims to recognize the extraordinary acts, support and commitment of education partners in the realization of the MATATAG agenda and to give appreciation to all schools who exemplify their partnership and collaboration with the stakeholders to address learning resource needs of public schools.
Among the awardees are the education partners of the DepEd Regional Office III namely Global Peace Foundation, Chevron Holdings Incorporated, Life Goal Enterprises, China Bank Savings, Inc., City Saving Bank, Inc., East West Rural Bank, Inc., East-West Seed Foundation, Inc., Aqadvertising, Inc, Security Bank Corporation, and Fresh Q Enterprises Corporation.
Also, Food For The Hungry, Inc. Branch Office, National Grid Corporation of the Philippines, Redscope Communications, Inc., Bureau of Fire Protection Regional Office III, International Youth Fellowship Philippines, Police Regional Office III, Milo Philippines, Department Of Agriculture Regional Field Office III, Save The Children Philippines, and Asahi Beverages Philippines.
Education partners of the 20 DepEd Schools Division Offices, which include local government officials and private institutions, were also given recognition for their continued support to the delivery of basic education services in their respective localities.
“DepEd Region III also recognized the exemplary and remarkable performance of the school heads, teacher-advisers, student leaders and learner formators in achieving the holistic development of the learners in the implementation of mandated learner formation programs, projects and activities,” Eclar added.
Among the awards given under the Gawad PAG-GABAY include Learner Government Program-Core Values Best Implementers Elementary and Secondary Categories, Most Outstanding Supreme Student Leaders Elementary and Secondary Categories, Youth for Environment in School Organization (YES-O) Best School Implementers Elementary and Secondary Categories, YES-O Student Leaders Elementary and Secondary Categories, Barkada Kontra Droga- Best School Implementers Elementary and Secondary Categories, Child Protection Policy - Best School Implementer Elementary and Secondary Categories, and Functional Social Media Award.
