La Union's 2nd district opens lodging area for residents with errands in Manila

SAN FERNANDO CITY, La Union (PIA) – Residents from the second district of La Union now have a dwelling place they can go to when they process errands in Metro Manila, thanks to the recent inauguration of a lodging area in Quezon City.

La Union Second District Representative Dante Garcia said that the lodging area is open to accept residents who have transactions in Manila and form part of the advocacy to make traveling in Manila for undertakings easier.

“Nakalukaten nga pagdagusan dagiti taga Segundo Distrito nga adda transaksyon na iti Manila,” Garcia said in his statement posted on Facebook.

(The lodging area is already open for residents of the second district who have transactions in Manila.)

The lodging area for residents of the second district of La Union is complete with double deck beds in order to cater to more residents with errands in Metro Manila.

Residents who shall be prioritized for the accommodation include overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) and their families who shall accompany them when they leave for work abroad or  welcome them when they return to the country.

Other priority residents include those who have to tend to patients currently confined in Manila, students who have seminars to attend in the metro, those with teambuilding activities, residents who need to process documents, and those who cannot yet travel back to La Union due to time constraints.

“Nangnangruna…dagiti adda pasyente na iti hospital, dagiti adda seminar na nga estudyante, team building, dagiti agilakad iti papeles na idiyay Manila, ken dagiti haan nga makaawid iti alanganen nga oras ti probinsya,” Garcia added.

(In particular are those with patients in Manila, students with seminars, those with teambuilding activities, residents with papers to be processed in Manila, and those who cannot go home to the province because of time hindrances.)

The lodging area boosts a spacious living room for the holding of residents along with double deck beds and a sizeable rear area for other activities.

The said lodging area is located at Kaingin Road corner EDSA in Balintawak, Quezon City, near the Balintawak Light Rail Transit (LRT) Station and Roosevelt Avenue.

Residents who want to book their accommodation may do so by sending a message to the Office of Congressman Garcia through cellphone numbers 0930-308-2463 or 0967-023-2493. (JCR/AMB/CCMT, PIA La Union)
