LAMUT, Ifugao (PIA)-- Ifugao State University (IFSU) has unveiled its global commemorative markers as a significant stride towards achieving global recognition as a university.
These markers serve as tangible evidence of IFSU's unwavering commitment to both sustainable development, and outstanding performance in prestigious global university rankings.
In 2023, IFSU made notable entries in two prominent world rankings: the World University Rankings for Innovation (WURI) and the UI Greenmetric World University Rankings (UIGWUR).
IFSU secured a spot in the Top 101-200 range of the WURI, showcasing its dedication to innovation.
In the UIGWUR ranking, IFSU claimed the 912th spot out of 1,183 participating institutions, ranking 21st among Philippine universities in this category.

IFSU president Eva Marie Codamon-Dugyon emphasized during the unveiling on January 9 that the decision to actively participate in international rankings is a strategic move aimed at elevating the institution's standing.
“Today marks the beginning of a new journey for 2024 as we pursue and continue our quest for excellence. Excellence is a way of life in our university and it is our culture,” said Dugyon.
By pursuing global recognition, IFSU aims not only to enhance its prestige but also to uplift the stature of all its constituents.
Dr. Jeng Jeng M. Bolintao, director of the Department of Quality Assurance, also encouraged the stakeholders to thrive not just locally but also globally.
The university has seen growing number of enrollees every year. As of the first semester of academic year 2023-2024, the total enrolment stands at 11,705, compared to the 2022 figure of 10,352 enrollees. (JDP/FBR- PIA CAR, Ifugao)
