SAN FERNANDO CITY, La Union (PIA) —The La Union Police Provincial Office (LUPPO) spearheaded the observance of the 30th Philippine National Police (PNP) Ethics Day during their flag-raising ceremony on Monday, Jan. 15.

With the theme “Serbisyong may pagkakaisa, integridad, at kasanayan tungo sa Mapayapa at Maunlad na Buhay,” this observance aims to remind and reinforce the adherence of PNP personnel on the ethical doctrine which contains the moral values, and discipline of professional and morally upright police officers.

Police Col. Lambert Suerte, Provincial Director of LUPPO, reminded the cops that ethics is not just important within the police organization, but in all aspects of life.

“As we gather to raise our flag, let us also raise our commitment to upholding the high standard of ethics and integrity as members of PNP. We are bound by legal standards set by the PNP,” Suerte said.

The police chief encouraged all personnel to reflect on their own personal and professional conduct and to strive to be the best versions of themselves.

Lawyer Braulio Tade, assistant provincial prosecutor of Agoo town, who graced the activity as Guest of Honor and Speaker,  emphasized that trust is earned, respect is given, and loyalty is demonstrated.

Moreover, he urged the police to start the year 2024 by doing the right things and doing things right.

“You make your area of responsibility or the Philippines in general, a better and safer place to live on and you can live the rest of your life happily and without fear,” Tade said.
