NAGA, Zamboanga Sibugay (PIA) - The Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) has recently issued the training support fund to 19 individuals from Barangay Mamagon in Naga, Zamboanga Sibugay, after successfully completing the Shielded Metal Arc Welding National Certificate II (SMAW NC II) course under the Tulong Trabaho Scholarship Program (TTSP).

Darkish Sabdani, one of the participants in the course, expressed his immense gratitude for the skills acquired and support he received, extending his thanks to TESDA for the opportunity.

“Thank you so much to TESDA for the free training and for this support fund; this is a huge help for me and my family. I hope TESDA will help more people like me,” Sabdani said.

TTSP is designed to create job opportunities by enhancing the skills of individuals in need of skill development. The recipients, who underwent a 34-day training program in SMAW NC II and benefited from both the free training and a daily allowance of P160, are now equipped with welding skills, thereby enhancing their employment prospects.

The release of the training support fund underscores the program's commitment to supporting individuals in their career development and providing them with the necessary resources to succeed in the labor market.

Leading the training support fund distribution was TESDA provincial director Alan Bacatan, who emphasized TESDA's commitment to helping recipients not only acquire skills but also launch their careers in the workforce.

The successful completion and support for the 19 beneficiaries exemplify the impact of the TTSP in empowering individuals through skills enhancement, ultimately contributing to a more skilled and competitive workforce.

This accomplishment not only reflects the dedication of the beneficiaries but also highlights the role of programs like TTSP in shaping the future of the workforce and fostering economic growth in the province. (KSA/RVC/EDT/RBI/PIA9-Zamboanga Sibugay)
