About 1K Buruun residents avail of various services at serbisyo caravan

ILIGAN CITY (PIA) -- About a thousand residents of Barangay Buruun expressed gratitude as they accessed various essential services provided at the Serbisyo Caravan recently held in their area. 

Various services offered were medical consultations, tooth extraction,  free animal vaccinations, free haircuts and circumcision services, notarial services, legal consultation, shoe repair and bolo sharpening services, and the distribution of free reading eyeglasses, vegetable seeds, and seedlings. 

The Philippine Statistics Authority, Joint Task Force Iligan, Philippine Health Insurance Corporation, Social Security System, and other city government offices among others provided the services.

Lisa Baraquia, a 65-year-old resident, expressed gratitude to the city government for providing various services. She availed of a free medical consultation, a free haircut, and shoe repair. She also received free medicines and reading eyeglasses.

Meanwhile, Romeo Bayal appreciated the initiative of the city government. He received a durian seedling from the City Environment and Natural Resources Office. 

Additionally, 69-year-old resident Jose Zapanta brought his dog, Casper, to the City Veterinary Office for anti-rabies vaccination.

“Dako kaayo m’ig pasalamat nga naa sila diri karon. Para ang mga tawo dili na mahago nga muadto na pa sa syudad [We are very grateful that they are here now, so that people would not have to struggle to go to the city proper]," he said. 

He also underwent a check-up for his cough and has already received a haircut and vegetable seeds for their consumption while his child received tooth extraction services. 

On the other hand, Gwencebel Peralta expressed gratitude for the free dental services provided, as she no longer needs to spend money on tooth extraction. (LELA/PIA-10/Lanao del Norte)
