LAGAWE, Ifugao(PIA) - - The Business One, Stop Shop (BOSS) has increased the collection efficiency of the local government unit (LGU) of Aguinaldo town while promoting ease of doing business.
The LGU’s Business Licensing Section disclosed that the 10-day activity yielded a total collection of P1.6 million compared to last year’s collection of P1.3 million. Said amount was collected from the application and renewal of business permits.
Licensing Officer Almond Changgalan said there were 44 new businesses registered this year during the BOSS held from January 9-19, 2024. With the continuous support of the municipal government, an increase of collection will also be seen next year, he said.
The LGU, in partnership with other services providers, established two venues of the BOSS at the Ubao Food Terminal and at the municipal hall in barangay Galonogon bringing services closer to the business owners.
Meanwhile, the Department of Trade and Industry in the province has deployed some of its personnel in the different municipalities even in areas with no established Negosyo Center in support to the BOSS organized in the various towns to cater to the business permit and licensing requirements of the business sector .
The BOSS is in compliance with Republic Act 11032 or Ease of Doing Business and Efficient Government Service Delivery Act of 2018 that is aimed to streamline the current systems and procedures of government services.(JDP/MBL-PIA CAR – Ifugao)
