Uniformed personnel, KKDAT serve in-school learners

LAGAWE, Ifugao(PIA) - - Early learners and pupils of some learning institutions in Hingyon and Lamut towns are among the latest beneficiaries of the outreach programs of uniformed personnel and the Kabataan Kontra Droga at Terorismo (KKDAT).

The Hingyon Municipal Police Office (MPS) in partnership with the KKDAT conducted on January 18, 2024 a feeding activity serving 23 early learners of the Northern Cababuyan Child Development Center.

MPS personnel also discussed the Oplan Pani-o (anti-rape) campaign of the Police Provincial Office, anti-drugs and Police Patrol Plan 2030  to the learners.

Acting Chief of Police Captain Robles Panitew underscored the spirit of solidarity through feeding the children. “This will help erase the fear among the young children to police officers and make them feel that their law enforcers care for them,” he said.

Meanwhile, the Ifugao District Jail extended its programs and services to the Bliss Elementary School in Lamut.

IDJ personnel   conducted information drive on  anti-bullying to Grades 5 and 6, and Read a Book inducing the interest of kindergarten and Grade 1 learners for reading. There was also a  feeding activity.

The group also spearheaded the Brigada Eskwela along the sloped garden of the school. The team utilized innovative methods, including rip rapping and plotting portions of the garden with hollow blocks and cement to enhance the overall aesthetics and functionality of the  school garden.

“Proud of our team's dedication to community service and education. Together, we're making a difference;  one positive action at a time,” the IDJ personnel stated. (JDP/MBL-PIA CAR-Ifugao)
