IPIL, Zamboanga Sibugay (PIA) – The recently completed road widening project in Barangay Magdaup in Ipil, Zamboanga Sibugay has brought about a transformation in the local road infrastructure, providing enhanced safety, reliability, and improved connectivity for the community. 

With a budget of P28 million pesos allocated under the General Appropriations Act (GAA) 2023, covering a total net length of 360.75 linear meters, the project included comprehensive rehabilitation and reconstruction of roads, along with the construction of drainage and slope protection structures.

Arniell Redera, a resident of Barangay Magdaup, conveyed his satisfaction and gratitude upon the completion of the community project. The infrastructure has made his daily commute more efficient, offering ease and safety to the entire community.

"The repair and rehabilitation of the road is very important, especially for our safety, and it makes our daily commute easier, like going to school, work, or other important errands," he said.

The successful implementation of this project by the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Zamboanga Sibugay 2nd District Engineering Office underscores the commitment to fortify local infrastructure and foster sustainable development. 

Bensali Kasim, district engineer of DPWH Zamboanga Sibugay 2nd District Engineering Office, emphasized the department’s dedication to providing infrastructure and services tailored to the specific needs of the people in Sibugay.

This initiative not only aims to enhance connectivity but also prioritizes the safety and convenience of residents and motorists, contributing to the overall progress of the region.
