VIRAC, Catanduanes (PIA) --With over 240,000 residents giving biometric information to the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA), the PSA has now reached 97 percent of its national ID registration goal for Catanduanes.
PSA Catanduanes chief statistical specialist Anavi F. Camacho said that as of January 23 (Tuesday), 240,775 Catanduanons have finished the second step of registration for the Philippine Identification System (PhilSys), in which fingerprints, iris scans, and front-facing photos were captured.

Camacho also disclosed that as of January 23, Philpost in Catanduanes has distributed a total of 91,335 PhilSys IDs.
She said the Philsys registry unit of PSA Catanduanes is open daily to serve walk-in clients.
