“We are so blessed to have you as our partner with your full support to our projects. Ngayon pa lang ramdam ko na ang benefits lalo na sa aming mga estudyante and we are looking forward for them to become successful in every way,” said TzNHS School Principal Oliver C. Sanchez during the MOU signing.

“This partnership is a significant leap forward in our dedication to empowering our students and educators through specialized training programs,” the TzNHS further noted.
For his part, PIA NCR Regional Director Emver P. Cortez highlighted the commitment of the agency in increasing the network of support for the developmental projects of the TzNHS.
“TzNHS is the only national high school in Metro Manila that we have signed MOU with. Rest assured that we will facilitate the needed training and capacity-building of your students and teachers so we can work together towards shaping future communicators,” said Regional Director Cortez.
TzNHS is a public learning institution that serves as the primary provider of formal secondary education among at least 1,500 student learners in Barangay Tanza.
Aside from creating a conducive learning environment for students, the TzNHS is also aiming to improve their communication skills as they delve deeper into the production of school publications and participation in student journalism competitions at both regional and national level.
Under the MOU, PIA-NCR is expected to design and develop communication strategies and seminar modules for TzNHS through a combination of targeted face-to-face and virtual training.
PIA-NCR will also lead the provision of learning sessions that are anchored on government programs and services, particularly those that are relevant to the information needs of students such as the Media and Information Literacy (MIL) Campaign. It is mainly geared towards helping them become responsible digital citizens.
Meanwhile, TzNHS teachers will be introduced to various professional development opportunities in a bid to strengthen their leadership skills.
Other vital components of the PIA NCR-led Skills Enhancement Program include career pathing, socio-emotional learning, and disaster preparedness, among others. (JMP/PIA-NCR)
