PSA-Kalinga said it is employing various strategies to increase registration, including going school to school as majority of remaining unregistered residents are children aged five to 15 years-old.
It recently started a registration drive in the campuses of Kalinga State University to make it easier for students and employees to register.
A registration center is also set up within the offices of the Social Welfare and Development especially for beneficiaries of the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program
The PSA-Kalinga has also rolled out the PhilSys on Wheels utilizing a roving vehicle that goes to communities to bring the registration to the doorstep of people in areas where many are still unregistered.
Taking advantage of the large gathering of people from all over the province coming to Tabuk for the 29th Kalinga Founding Anniversary and 5th Bodong Festival, the PSA has a booth at Capitol Hills, Bulanao, where they can register in the PhilSys. It is open from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Feb.5 until Feb.16(except Sundays).
Getting a national ID is not mandatory, but having one is highly encouraged as it is a valid proof of identity for public and private transactions.(JDP/IOS-PIA CAR)
