CEBU CITY, Cebu, February 8 (PIA) -- The Philippine Postal Corporation (PHLPost) is now accepting orders of love bouquets, postcards, and gift items in time for the Valentine's Day Celebration on February 14.

Cebu Central Post Office Acting Postmaster Rachel Betos disclosed during the Kapihan sa PIA forum that the inter-city delivery is currenly only limited to the cities of Cebu, Mandaue, Lapu-lapu, and Talisay.

“Kung magpadeliver mo gikan sa Cebu padung Lapu-lapu pwede kaayo na siya," said Betos.

(Translation: If you want to have something delivered from Cebu to Lapu-lapu, it's very possible.)

Betos said that PHLPost's couriers are all set to deliver the orders this Valentine season.

“Tagbilaran and Tacloban post offices will also be providing this delivery service except for the mug items,” Betos added.

PHLPost Area 5 Acting Marketing Specialist Erika Alaine Caballero said most of the orders they received are from the millennial age group.

“Orders are mostly from the millennial age group, maybe because the youth are into technology while the millennials still have this sense of personal touch when it comes to gift-giving ” said Caballero.

She also assured that “the flowers are fresh because they are from our local supplier in Busay.”

Gift items are made to order and the delivery is free of charge.

PHLPost is also seeking for a possible partnership with local flower suppliers for the cities of Lapu-lapu, Mandaue, and Talisay.

For now, only Cebu has a local supplier who also supplies the other postal offices.

“We are also looking into having chocolate and cake suppliers, hopefully by next year,” Caballero added.

Orders are accepted at Philpost offices in Mandaue City, Lapu-Lapu City, and Talisay City for Cebu, and Tagbilaran City for Bohol until February 12.

However, orders can be place at the Cebu Central Post Office until February 13.

Online orders may be paid through online payment transactions or through GCash. (MYP/PIA7 Cebu)
