MANILA, (PIA) -- The Caloocan City government provided 30 new motorcycles, eight mobile patrol vehicles, and over 80 body cameras to both the Caloocan City Police Station (CCPS) and the Public Safety and Traffic Management Department (PSTMD) to bolster patrol operations and enhance community safety.
Mayor Dale Gonzalo "Along" Malapitan urged law enforcement personnel to maximize the use of the new equipment, prioritizing public safety, especially at night.
"Ang mga bagong sasakyan at kagamitan po na ito ay dulot ng paghahangad ng pamahalaang lungsod na magkaroon ng kapanatagan ang mga mamamayan na ligtas sila sa ating lungsod lalo na sa gabi, kaya po tinatawagan ko po ang ating kapulisan at iba pang operatiba na maging maayos ang paggamit sa mga ito," Malapitan said.

"Malaking tulong po ang pagkakaroon ng body cams dahil batid po natin na kailangan ng proteksyon ng ating mga traffic enforcers sa kanilang araw-araw na trabaho, bukod pa sa layunin na tuluyang wakasan ang mga tiwaling transaksyon kung saan napapawalang-sala ang mga lumalabag sa batas trapiko," he added.

The body cameras, specifically aimed at PSTMD personnel, are expected to promote transparency and accountability during traffic operations.
