SAN ISIDRO, Abra(PIA) -- The Municipal Advisory Group for Police Transformation and Development (MAGPTD) here recently hosted a post-Valentine ‘sing for a cause’ event in efforts to strengthen police-community relations towards a more peaceful and orderly town.
The concert held at Palupyas Food Park in Barangay Langbaban featured various entertainment personalities including radio sensation, ‘Kapitan Enteng’, the Singing Cops, and other guest performers.
San Isidro Municipal Police Station chief PCapt. John Macli-ing said aside from giving entertainment, and fostering rapport with the residents, the goal of the event was to generate funds to finance the community projects of the MAGPTD, specifically for the building of a chapel in Barangay Manayday here.

The concert was sponsored by San Isidro Mayor Elmerante Pacsa, the MAGPTD chairperson, the municipal government, Igorot Warrior International, Abra Elite Eagles Club, and with the support of MAGPTDs from the neighboring towns of Villaviciosa and Pilar.
Macli-ing emphasized the vital role of the MAGPTD in helping the local police to achieve their goals.
Composed of representatives from various sectors such as the local and national government, the academe, the media, the religious, the youth, indigenous peoples, women and other private stakeholder, the MAGPTD serves as institutional partner and adviser to the Philippine National Police to keep them responsive at all times to the needs of the community, as envisioned in the PNP PATROL Plan 2030.(JDP/CAGT-PIA CAR, Abra)
