The Cagayan Valley Region is one of the 10 regions that were given MTLs, which aims to mobilize the delivery of skills development and livelihood programs in far-flung areas, particularly those located in identified conflict-affected communities, disaster-prone provinces, and provinces with high poverty incidence.
Recently, persons deprived of liberty (PDL) under the custody of Santa Teresita District Jail, underwent a four-day skills training on auto electrical components, where the participants were taught by technical personnel of the Aparri Polytechnic Institute how to fix electrical problems using the vehicle electrical system model.
Next week, the MTL will also be rolled out in Santa Ana to benefit identified fisherfolk living in the coastal barangays.
Aside from training on auto electrical components, the MTLs will also offer qualifications such as Photovoltaic Systems Installation NC II, Bread & Pastry Production NC II, Food Processing NC II, Organic Agricultural Production NC II, Carpentry NC II, Plumbing NC II, Electrical Installation Maintenance NC II, and Agricultural Crop Production NC II.
