“The PRDP projects will always be a testament of collaboration. Project implementation becomes an easier task both for the proponent LGU, and for the line agencies like DA when the ownership of projects is imbibed in the community, and the LGUs are capacitated,” DA regional director Jennilyn Dawayan said.
Kalinga is among the top implementers of the World Bank-funded program, so far, acquiring six infrastructure projects that were implemented with excellent ratings.
“Kalinga has implemented the PRDP with flying colors, hitting around one billion worth of investments, P940 million infrastructures and P22.4 million enterprises,” DA-PRDP North Luzon deputy project director Elma S. Mananes said.
“Among the 22 provinces of North Luzon, fourth ang Kalinga sa may pinakamalaking nakuha out of the P10.4 billion in the cluster. Congratulations po, almost ten percent ang napunta sa Kalinga,” Mananes added.
The turnover ceremony was held in Dupligan, Tanudan and graced by DA officials, local government officials and employees, Congressman Allen Jesse Mangaoang, among others. (JDP/IOS-PIA Kalinga)
