CALAPAN CITY, Oriental Mindoro (PIA) -- The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has completed the construction of a P67.5 million legislative building in the municipality of Torrijos in Marinduque.
The project emphasizes the necessity of ensuring that the municipal government operates with heightened efficiency and smoothness by constructing a future-proof building.
In a report by DPWH district engineering office, the legislative building, comprising a total of 23 rooms, features various spaces such as the Vice Mayor's Office, nine offices for municipal councilors, two offices for the secretariat of the Sangguniang Bayan, toilets, a session hall, a conference room, a pantry, an electrical room, a network room, an archive room and a library.
This diverse array of rooms caters to the multifaceted needs and functions of the municipal office in Torrijos. Additionally, it also considers the flow of people, accessibility, and the efficiency of space usage. (GATS/PIA MIMAROPA)
