LAGAWE, Ifugao(PIA)-- Recognition is a great motivation to sustain and to further develop innovative measures in the delivery of nutrition-related services.
Thus, said 2022 Search for National Outstanding Municipal Nutrition Action Officer (MNAO) finalist Jimmy Taguilingon of Asipulo, Ifugao.
“The award is a fruit of hard work that we put in. We should be passionate at heart and do the best of our capability in whatever we do we. We should not leave any stone unturned when we want to achieve something,” he added.
The National Nutrition Council (NNC) conferred a Certificate of Merit to Taguilingon for being a finalist during the 2023 National Nutrition Awarding Ceremony on February 12, 2024 at the Manila Hotel. He represenred the Cordillera region in said search.
Taguilingon holds the position of Nutrition Officer 1 of the local government unit of Asipulo, and designated as MNAO since 2017.
Taguilingon is a key figure in the implementation of nutrition programs in the municipality resulting to improved nutrition situation among infants and young children, and gaining various awards and recognition.
Asipulo bagged the CROWN or Consistent Regional Outstanding Winner in Nutrition award in 2022. This is given to a local government unit with outstanding implementation of its nutrition action plan for three consecutive years. It also received the 2022 Green Banner Seal of Good Compliance for local government units.
Taguilingon also received the coveted Civil Service Commission-CAR Pag-asa Award in the Individual Category in 2023 for his outstanding contribution in nutrition.(JDP/MBL-PIA Ifugao)
