LTO educates 444 Calapan residents on traffic safety

CALAPAN CITY, Oriental Mindoro (PIA) -- As part of the upcoming Bagong Pilipinas Serbisyo Fair in Oriental Mindoro on March 9-10, the Land Transportation Office (LTO) in Calapan spearheaded the road safety caravan aiming to bring vital knowledge about road safety closer to the public.

The two-day caravan held on March 2-3, saw an impressive turnout with 444 city residents participating in the event. This initiative aims to educate the public on the importance of traffic rules and regulations, reduce the number of road accidents, and ensure safer streets for everyone.

During the event, participants were taken through various activities designed to increase their awareness of road safety measures. It also provided opportunities to understand the legal implications of traffic violations, emphasizing the role of responsible driving in the community's overall safety.

Calapan Mayor Marilou F. Morillo and city councilor Atty. Jel Magsuci, expressed their gratitude towards LTO and their initiatives in making the streets of Calapan a safer place for motorists and pedestrians alike.

The Bagong Pilipinas Serbisyo Fair, under which the road safety caravan was conducted, is a government initiative aimed at providing direct access to various services offered by national and local agencies.
