DTI Provincial Director Christie Rivera announced that this year, a total of 40 MSMEs are expected to participate in five marketing events, which are anticipated to generate a total sale of P9 million.
The events will provide a platform for MSMEs to meet and conduct regular transactions with new buyers.
The marketing events are as follows: Feria de Camarines in April in Naga City; Orgullo kan Bikol at Shangrila Plaza on May 16-19; Bishop Gainza Trade Fair in Naga City in September; Orgullo Kan Bikol at SM Megamall in October; and Camarines Norte’s Finest at Ayala Mall, Legazpi City, in November.
MSMEs from Camarines Norte will exhibit their processed food products, which include baked and pili products, herbs and spices, chicharon, crispy dilis, native delicacies, coconut by-products, cacao, tablea, and vegetable chips.
Wearables and home-style products such as charcoal soap, virgin coconut oil (VCO), coconut by-products, gold and silver jewelry, fashion accessories, silver jewelry, handicrafts, honey-bee, and citronella products for agribusiness will also be presented.
Rivera said that Camarines Norte Gov. Ricarte Padilla has approved releasing P500,000 to DTI to augment the latter’s P1.25 million budget for MSMEs marketing campaigns.
