DICT holds computer applications, internet essentials training in Marinduque

SANTA CRUZ, Marinduque (PIA) -- The Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) in Marinduque together with the Kaluppa Foundation holds a digital literacy training on Computer Applications and Internet Essentials held at Kaluppa Integrated Farm in Santa Cruz, Marinduque.

The training session was led by Richard Justin D. Lancion, which aims to provide participants with knowledge and abilities related to digital tools, such as productivity. Additionally, it will assist them in becoming acquainted with cyberactivities, which will be advantageous to them as they will be participating in a range of online undertakings while pursuing their job goals.

Different individuals from various sectors such as unemployed and displaced workers, farmers and/or their families, students and near-hire individuals actively participated in the said training.

One participant from the training said that, "Although the two-day seminar was not enough and too limited, the trainer made sure that every minute of our talk was comprehensive and useful. I deeply appreciated the way he disseminated ideas to us. The training is not boring and not too serious since the trainer made sure that everyone can follow the lecture. No one was left behind."

[Bagamat napaka-limited po ng two days training, sinisigurado po ng trainer namin na si Sir Richard na sulit ang bawat minuto at marami kaming natutunan, na-appreciate po namin ang kanyang method of training, hindi po boring, hindi seryoso, matiyaga magpaliwanag and he makes sure na no one left behind talaga.]

Another participant also shared that, "This training will help me in my small business. It will help me monitor the income, financial situation and cash flow of my business with the help of microsoft excel application."

[Makakatulong ito sa aking munting negosyo upang malaman ang income at financial situation or cash flow sa pamamagitan ng microsoft excel application.]

Supporting the ICT needs and services of every Filipino is what the DICT aims to provide. They will continue to do this and will collaborate with various organizations to empower the community and increase its competitiveness on a global scale.

Meanwhile, Kaluppa Foundation a non-profit organization based in Santa Cruz, aims to implement programs focused on improving the lives of stakeholders, conduct technical-vocational trainings, offer technical-vocational education and training scholarship programs, and provide skills assessment processes especially to the youth and residents of the province.
