Filipino scientists to explore AI's role in sustainable research

MANILA, (PIA) -- The National Research Council of the Philippines (NRCP) will convene its annual scientific conference on March 12 at the Philippine International Convention Center in Pasay City.

This year's gathering, themed "Artificial Intelligence for Responsive Transdisciplinary Research toward a Sustainable Scientific Future," brings together over 6,000 Filipino researchers, scientists, experts, and artists.

The conference features four parallel sessions focusing on:

  • Aquatic, agriculture, and biodiversity studies
  • Education and creative industries
  • Natural and applied sciences
  • Labor market, economics, and wealth creation

The NRCP, a body of leading scientists and researchers, aims to leverage artificial intelligence (AI) for collaborative research across disciplines to achieve a sustainable future.

The conference will also recognize outstanding contributions from institutions, individual scientists, and awardees, alongside inducting newly elected members.

Established under Republic Act 2067, the NRCP serves as the Philippine government's official advisor on scientific matters, promoting scientific development and innovation across various fields. (PIA-NCR)
