PIA engages in benchmarking activity with BARMM info agency

QUEZON CITY (PIA) -- The Philippine Information Agency (PIA) embarked on a benchmarking activity with the Bangsamoro Information Office (BOI) to equip its delegates with valuable knowledge and experience on the operations of the Agency, the Presidential Communications Office (PCO), and other attached agencies, June 23.

PIA Director-General Jose A. Torres Jr. expressed the Agency’s commitment to support the BOI in its communication endeavors aimed at promoting the programs and projects of the Marcos administration.

As we embark on this benchmarking activity, we aim to not only share our experiences and best practices but also learn from your unique perspectives and expertise,” he said.

Meanwhile, as the center of information and the communication arm of the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) government, BIO Executive Director Ameen Andrew L. Alonto expressed that the reason of the said benchmarking is that “we see the Philippine Information Agency as the closest office that we can relate to in terms of mandate and objectives.”

Present during the said activity were PCO Director Maria Waywaya B. Macalma, PTV General Manager (GM) Ana Puod, and the PIA Executive Directorate. (EEDC/PIA-CPSD)
