President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. joined the Special Forces Regiment Airborne (SFRA) of the Philippine Army in commemorating its 61st founding anniversary with the theme, 'SFRA: Competent, Resilient, and Effective Special Operations Forces (SOF),' at Fort Magsaysay in Palayan City, Nueva Ecija on June 25, 2023.

President Marcos Jr. conferred the Army Governance Pathway Proficient Status with Gold Trailblazer Award to the SFRA under the leadership of Regiment Commander Brigadier General Ferdinand Napuli for demonstrating a culture of good governance and performance excellence.

After the awarding ceremony, the Commander-in-Chief witnessed a Military Free Fall (MFF) capability demonstration by the 33rd Special Forces Coy troops of the SFRA and a hostage situation scenario which included explosives and live fire simulations.

The President also gives recognition to combat awardees and civilian awardees.
