The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) launched the 1st Young Creatives Challenge (YC2) on September 24, 2023 in Quezon City.

The youth centered competition is in line with the Malikhaing Pinoy Program of DTI and is part of the month-long celebration of the Philippine Creative Industries Month. Through the support of Senator Imee Marcos, the grandest battle of youth creatives will feature their talents and original content in the field of Songwriting, Screenwriting, Playwriting, Graphic Novel, Animation, Game Development, and Online Content Creation.

YC2 is open to all 18-35 years old Filipino creatives. Submission of entries is until October 15, 2023.
Consolation prizes will be given to all chosen finalists and 1 million pesos will be given to a grand winner for each category.
