Laguna farmers receive P32M agri interventions

NAGCARLAN, Laguna --Farmers from the Third District of Laguna received P32,094,529 worth of agricultural interventions from the Department of Agriculture IV-CALABARZON (DA-4A).

OIC-Regional Executive Director Vilma M. Dimaculangan led the awarding of agri interventions along with Laguna 3rd District Rep. Marisol Aragones July 2.

Farmers from the municipalities of Alaminos, Calauan, Liliw, Nagcarlan, and Rizal, and city of San Pablo received various agricultural interventions.

The agri interventions include hybrid glutinous corn seeds, hybrid yellow corn seeds, vegetable seeds, papaya seedlings, budded calamansi, mushroom bags, fertilizers, insecticides, plastic mulch, seedling trays, plastic crates, grass cutters, plastic drums, knapsack and power sprayers, garden tools, bagging machine, improvised autoclaved, multipurpose portable spin dryer deoiler dehydrator, air fryer, continuous vertical band sealer, coffee roaster, coffee hulter, coffee depulper multitillers, forage chopper, storage facilities, fermentation facility, mushroom house, greenhouse with hydroponics, nursery, wood vinegar facility, molasses, carabaos, and cattle.

Part of these interventions were already distributed to different farmer-recipients of the 3rd district of Laguna in coordination with their respective Municipal/City Agriculturist Office.


“Ang mga tulong po na ito ay isa lamang pong paraan para iparamdam sa sektor ng agrikultura na kayo ay pinahahalagahan at hindi pinababayaan ng pamahalaan.

Pagyamanin po natin ang mga ibinigay na biyayang ito. At sana po ay mapaunlad ng mga ito ang inyong kabuhayan. Kami po sa DA ay kakampi ninyo at tutulong sa pagpapaunlad ng kabuhayan at pagsulong ninyong mga magsasaka, mangingisda, at maghahayupan,” Director Dimaculangan said.

“Ang mga tulong po na ito ay galing din sa inyo. Ito po ay inyong buwis, at kami naman po ay tagapagsiguro lamang na ang inyong mga buwis ay mapupunta rin sa inyo,” Congresswoman Aragones added.

“Isang prebilehiyo po ito para sa amin na ibinigay sa farmers ang mga tulong na ito para madagdagan ang kanilang pinagkakakitaan. Makaasa po kayo na pararamihin po namin ito at ide-disperse para lahat ng miyembro ay magkaroon at makinabang,” Eunice B. Hormillado, officer-in-charge of San Sebastian Homeowners Multipurpose Cooperative (cattle recipient), promised.

Nagcarlan Mayor Hon. Lourdes J. Arcasetas, Agricultural Program Coordinating Officer for Laguna Ms. Annie S. Bucu, Livestock Program Coordinator Dr. Jerome G. Cuasay, and other DA-4A staff have joined the activity.
