TUBOD, Lanao del Norte (PIA)--People from the different barangays of the municipality of Baroy lined up, July 5-6 at the vaccination site to get their first and second doses of the coronavirus disease (Covid)-19 vaccine.
Following the priority list of A1, A2, and A3, the Department of Health, with the assistance of the Provincial Health Office and Baroy Rural Health Unit, inoculated a total of 264 residents for 1st dose and 135 for 2nd dose of Sinovac.
"Nagpavaccine ko kay para naa koy dugang nga proteksyon sa virus... Nagpavaccine ko para sa akong pamilya," a vaccinated elderly woman said.
(I got vaccinated because I want to have more protection against the virus ... I got vaccinated for my family)
The priority list for Covid-19 immunization includes medical workers, the elderly and people with co-morbidities or medical conditions that make them more susceptible to infection and severe diseases.
"We are fast-tracking our vaccination program and giving our full efforts in order to serve and protect the people of Lanao del Norte. As long as supplies are available, more residents will be catered to," said Provincial Health Officer Dr. Marujeta Isabel Opamen
Meanwhile, Provincial Governor Imelda “Angging” Quibranza-Dimaporo constantly reminds her constituents to always be mindful in observing Covid-19 related protocols and to get vaccinated against the coronavirus. (PIO-LDN)
