CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY (PIA)--Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE)-10 OIC-Regional Director Albert E. Gutib awarded the first Safety Seal Certificates in the entire Northmin region to Archen Technologies, Inc. and San Miguel Foods, Inc., July 8 at Tagoloan, Misamis Oriental.
Gutib was very pleased to award the said Safety Seal Certificates to the two companies in compliance with the DOLE-DOH-DILG-DOT-DTI (Department of Health, Department of the Interior and Local Government, Department of Tourism, Department of Trade and Industry) Joint Memorandum Circular (JMC) No. 21-01.
“This program affirms an establishment or public transportation unit that is compliant with the government’s minimum public health standards and implements the government’s contact tracing system, which is integrated with StaySafe.ph, among others,” Gutib said.
The Safety Seal Program assures the consumers and the public to engage in safe transactions with the establishments awarded with the Safety Seal Certificate.
Gutib added that the program is one of the initiatives of the government to safely reopen the Philippine economy from the ill-effects brought by the COVID-19 pandemic.
Moreover, San Miguel Foods Inc. Operations Manager Melvin V. Aballe said they were honored to be the first awardee of the Safety Seal Certificate in the region.
He assured that there is still a long way to go to eliminate the spread of the virus but their company continues to comply with all the government’s standards and protocols.
The certificate is valid for six months and subject for a re-evaluation if the said establishment is found to have any violation of the JMC Standards and the Occupational Safety and Health rules and regulations.
