Customs clears 510,120 doses of Pfizer and 2.5M doses of Sinovac COVID-19 vaccines

PASAY CITY -- Bureau of Customs (BOC) - NAIA facilitated the prompt release of three batches of various COVID-19 vaccine shipments namely, Pfizer-BioNTech (510,120 doses) and Sinovac in two different batches (2.5 million doses), which arrived on July 21-23, 2021. 

Around 9:20PM of July 21, 2021, the 5th shipment of Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine arrived in NAIA Terminal 3 via Air Hongkong LD457, while the 1.5 million doses of Sinovac COVID-19 vaccine arrived on July 22, 2021 around 7:35 am via Flight 5J 671. 

Prior to arrival, the said shipments were pre-cleared at the BOC – NAIA COVID-19 One-Stop-Shop upon submission of pertinent documents by the consignee, the Department of Health.  

Upon arrival, the COVID-19 vaccines were immediately underguarded to the designated DOH Cold Storage Facilities. 

Additional 1,000,000 doses of Sinovac arrived in NAIA at around 7:35 am on July 23, 2021. 

Under the leadership of Commissioner Rey Leonardo B. Guerrero, the Bureau of Customs, through the Port of NAIA, commits to expeditiously facilitate the processing and release of COVID-19 vaccine shipments in full support of the government’s vaccination program to address the COVID-19 pandemic.
