1M more govt-procured Sinovac shots arrive in PH

MANILA -- One million doses of government-procured Sinovac vaccines arrived in the country on Friday morning, July 30.

This brings to 19.5 million the total number of CoronaVac vaccines delivered to the country so far, including the 1 million doses donated by the government of China.

Health Secretary Francisco Duque said that 60-70% of this latest vaccine shipment will be deployed to the NCR Plus, while the rest will be dispatched to cities tagged as high risk areas.

Sec. Duque, Usec. Carolina Vidal-Taino, and Dr. Ted Herbosa, adviser to the National Task Force Against COVID-19, received the new batch of vaccines.

As of July 30, the Philippines has received a total of 33,860,700 doses of COVID-19 vaccines from six different manufacturers. (National Task Force Against COVID-19)
