TUBOD, Lanao del Norte (PIA)--The Provincial Government of Lanao del Norte (PGLDN) conducted a relief operation for internally displaced persons (IDPs) affected by the armed conflicts in Tangcal municipality. 

In cooperation with Tangcal Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management,  Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office (PSWDO) and the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office facilitated the said distribution of relief goods to  410 displaced families. 

Each relief pack contains 10 kilos of rice, 10 cans of sardines and non-food items such as mats, blankets, mosquito nets, towels, and kitchen utensils from PSWDO.

Tangcal Mayor Fatima Mutia Tomawis  is thankful to Governor Imelda 'Angging' Quibranza-Dimaporo for the quick response to the needs of the affected people. 

Despite the challenges faced by the province, PGLDN remained truthful in delivering quality service. 

Although unable to personally go to the affected municipality, Dimaporo expressed her deepest sympathy to the affected families. She hoped that with the help of the national government agencies and the cooperation of the people, conflicts  would never happen again. (PIO-LDN)
