DITO plans to expand coverage in Lanao del Norte

TUBOD, Lanao del Norte-- As one of the key development partners of the province in providing efficient service to the communities, the Philippines Fiber Optic Cable Network (PFOCN) paid a courtesy call to Provincial Governor Imelda 'Angging' Quibranza Dimaporo at the Governor's Office, Gov. Arsenio Quibranza Provincial Government Center, Pigcarangan, Tubod.

PFOCN is an accredited service provider of DITO Telecommunity Corporation (DITO) to implement its telecommunications ventures in the country.

As a new primary telecommunications provider in the Philippines, DITO and the PFOCN aim to connect and empower every Filipino community by reinventing the country's telecommunication services/ industry by improving and securing fast and high-value 5G services.

DITO focal person Diane Rose Bacolod shared the plan to expand the DITO coverage in the province and install fibers, preferably at the municipality of Tubod.

For now, they are still paving their way to finish installing network connections in Iligan City. DITO began its operations on March 8, 2021, in 15 selected areas in Visayas and Mindanao, particularly in Metro Cebu and Metro Davao; now, they are eyeing to expand to the rest of the region.

Upon purchasing and registering a sim, you can then avail of affordable prepaid plans with a starter pack valid for one month with high-speed data and calls & texts to other mobile networks. The DITO Sim cards are available via DITO Experience Stores and Retail Partner Stores.

Recognizing the demand for more robust connectivity, the Governor was happy and excited about this undertaking.

"With these new digital innovations, we are hoping that this could provide consistent and fast service to everyone, especially that we need better connection in this virtual reality," said Dimaporo. (PIO LDN)
