TUBOD, Lanao del Norte -- Vaccinated senior citizens from the municipalities of Pantar, Balo-i, and Matungao received five kilos of rice and a pack of adult milk from the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office (PSWDO).

A total of 73 elderly from Pantar, 575 from Balo-i, and 188 from Matungao received their relief goods.

This program is in celebration of the Elderly Filipino Week. This also intends to urge other unvaccinated individuals in the municipality to get their jab of the vaccine for additional protection from the coronavirus disease 2019 and the rising threat of other variants.

"We are going from one municipality to the other to cater to more senior citizens and deliver these goods to them in the hope that our elderlies will be encouraged to get vaccinated and add another blanket of protection from the virus," PSWDO head Medez said.

Also present during the distribution was the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office of each municipality and their respective PGO-CAD Municipal Coordinators. (PIO LDN)
