CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY (PIA)--Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Misamis Oriental brings local products closer to the market with the launching of the One Town, One Product (OTOP) Philippinnes Hub pop-up store in Ayala Centrio Mall, here.
OTOP Philippines Hub or OTOP.PH is a retail store or space where products, especially those that have been assisted via product development under the OTOP program, are showcased on a day-to-day basis.
In partnership with Ayala Centrio Mall through the Alagang Ayala, the OTOP Hub pop-up store features products of six social enterprises in Misamis Oriental every 1-2 months. Processed fruits and nuts are currently being displayed until November 18, 2021. Cacao and coffee are expected to be showcased in the pop-up store by mid-November to be followed by native delicacies by mid-December until January 2022.
The recent opening of the OTOP Hub pop-up store in Ayala Centrio Mall was part of the strategic and marketing plan to help OTOP and the MSME suppliers to recover from the economic fallout brought by the pandemic. It was also in line with the recent opening of the economy allowing malls to resume operation of physical stores and conduct activities.
The pop-up store is open for one year from October 2021-2022. (DTI-10/PIA-10)
