TiKAD or Technology Innovation Knowledge Advancement and Development has expanded its reach as the application for International Standard Numbering Systems (ISSN) for the publication in the National Library of the Philippines (NLP) has been approved as a semi-annual publication of Siquijor State College (SSC).
Inspired and supported by the Department of Science and Technology (DOST), the first issue of TiKAD, which was spearheaded by SSC, was the January – June 2019 Volume.
SSC of Larena, Siquijor, Siquijor, is a higher educational institution of the Philippines and has been mandated to implement the DOST – Philippine Council for Agriculture, Aquatic and Natural Resources Research and Development (DOST-PCAARRD) S&T Community-based Program for Inclusive Development (STC4iD) program and DOST’s Community Empowerment Thru Science and Technology (CEST) program in the Province of Siquijor.
ISSN is an 8-digit code used to identify newspapers, journals, magazines and periodicals of all kinds and on all media (print and electronic).
With the ISSN, the publication is given an identity according to international standards, and it will be kept in record not only at NLP but is also sent to the International Centre and published in ISSN International Portal which is the most complete reference source in the world for the identification of serial publications.
