Cavite holds 2021 Branding Competition

The Provincial Government of Cavite, through the Provincial Tourism and Cultural Affairs Office, has named the winners for the 2021 Cavite Tourism Branding Competition on November 12, 2021 via Zoom.

Aimed to foster sustainable development of tourism with focus on this year’s theme “Tourism for Inclusive Growth,” presentations highlighted the unique identity of the destinations in the four tourism nodal points of Cavite.

Each team came up with their best branding proposal anchored on a nodal point’s tourism profile, heritage and values to further market Cavite and regain the confidence of travelers. The team of students from Cavite State University-Silang Campus was named the champion for their MaNaCorTES brand for the second tourism nodal point that comprises Maragondon, Naic, Magallanes, Ternate, and Corregidor Island. The winners will receive a plaque of recognition and a cash prize.

During the competition, the judges DOT-CALABARZON OIC-Regional Director Marites T. Castro and Cavite Provincial Information Officer Denesse Cajulis, commended the students for creating such strategies, underscoring the importance of a well-balanced plan that considers every aspect of a tourism destination.

Meanwhile, Cavite Provincial Tourism Officer Rozelle Sangalang reminded everyone of the essence of having a sense of pride and belongingness to the province as we restart the marketing and promotion of local tourism. Likewise, she congratulated the students for showing their interest and thanked the judges for lending their time and expertise, which contributed to the success of the activity. – (Rochelle D.
