TUBOD, Lanao del Norte (PIA)--The hinterland village of Mentring in Maigo town received 10 solar street lights from the provincial government facilitated by the Provincial Engineering Office, Provincial General Services Office, and Provincial Community Affairs Office (PCAO).
The Barangay Mentring received solar street lights and construction materials to include cement, sand, gravel, steel bars, solar panels, wires, poles. The barangay local government unit committed to shoulder the labor cost.
"Sa ngalan sa katawahan , dako kaayo among pasalamat kang Gov. Angging Dimaporo sa tabang aron mo hayag na ang among kadalanan panahon sa kagabhi-on," said Razil Galo, Barangay Mentring chairperson.

Through the "Kabarangayan Segurado" Program of the province , the solar lights were requested by Sangguniang Bayan Member Elbert 'El El' Pomicpic Mejorada and were duly approved by the provincial government for immediate implementation.
"The dark hours of Mentring are over. The solar street lights project is a vital development component of peace and order initiatives where residents will feel safe and secure especially during nighttime," said Governor Imelda "Angging" Quibranza Dimaporo.
The Governor also urged the residents of Mentering to take care of the solar street lights.
The village of Mentring, about five kilometers Southwest of the national highway of Maigo, is the first recipient of the solar street light project supported by the provincial government. (PIO-LDN/PIA-10/Lanao del Norte)
