PVHWs in Lanao del Norte receive COVID-19 vaccines

TUBOD, Lanao del Norte (PIA)--Some 150 Provincial Volunteer Health Workers (PVHW) from the municipalities  were inoculated by the Department of Health and Provincial Health Office at Mindanao Civic Center Gymnasium on Saturday, October 30, 2021.

Following Governor Imelda 'Angging' Quibranza-Dimaporo's order to intensify the vaccination program, these PVHWs were invited to get their jab of Pfizer or Moderna vaccines. In return, they were given 10 kilos of rice and P500 cash each as rewards.

The Governor said the giving of rewards is to encourage more residents to get vaccinated.

"Their service to the community as permanent volunteer health workers in the barangays for the continuous implementation of the health programs of the provincial government are much appreciated. Thus, their protection and safety must come first to influence the other people in their respective barangay to be vaccinated," said provincial administrator Sittie Aminah Quibranza-Dimaporo.

Moreover, the staff of the Provincial Community Affairs Office, Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office, Provincial Civil Service Unit, and the Incident Management Team were also present in the vaccination activity and distribution of goods. (PIO LDN/PIA-10/Lanao del Norte)
