MAMBAJAO, Camiguin (PIA)--Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE)-10 Regional Director Albert E. Gutib together with the officials of the Management Committee (MANCOM), which was hosted by its Camiguin Provincial Field Office (PFO) OIC-Chief Arlyn Z. Bael, awarded the first Safety Seal Certificate, a first in the province’s construction industry, to Japuz-Jansol Enterprises (JJE) Havendwell Garden Resort, here.
Bael said the Safety Seal Certification Program assures the consumers and the general public of its compliance with the government’s minimum public health standards. At the same time, it encourages the adoption of the StaySafe.ph digital contact tracing application in strengthening the contact tracing initiative of the government and effectively containing the spread of COVID-19.
Moreover, this helps the economy as it safely reopens and transitions into this new normal. The program is jointly implemented by DOLE, Department of Health (DOH), Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG); Department of Tourism (DOT), and Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) through Joint Memorandum Circular No. 21-01, Series of 2021.
DOLE issues the Safety Seal Certificate for the manufacturing, construction sites, utilities (electric, water, gas, air conditioning supply, sewerage, waste management) information and communication companies (private publication, news, movie production, TV and radio companies), and warehouses.
Bael said the Camiguin PFO encourages establishments in the province to voluntarily apply for the Safety Seal Certification Program to ensure the general safety of customers is guaranteed.
Safety Seal Certification can be obtained without cost to the establishment. (DOLE-Camiguin/PIA-10/Camiguin)
