VALENCIA CITY, Bukidnon (PIA)—Local micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in Bukidnon earned P826,426 in sales during a week-long trade fair here organized by the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI).
Eriberto Taban-ud Jr, DTI provincial director, said the trade expo held early this December was the first physical trade fair in Bukidnon in 2021 after a series of lockdowns due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Dubbed the “Madagaya Trade Fair: Bukidnon's Bounty,” the trade expo showcased over 100 products such as coffee, tablea, gifts, wearables, weaved bags and mats, furniture, paintings, specialty food, health and wellness products, including eco-friendly products.
Records also showed a total of 1,902 business inquiries made by the buying public to the participating MSMEs that include farmers, manufacturers, artisans, processors, and weavers.
Participating MSMEs were those that have been assisted through DTI’s programs—One Town One Product (OTOP), Kapatid Mentor Me (KMME), Rural Agro-Industrial Partnership for Inclusive Development (RAPID), Negosyo Center (NC), Shared Service Facility (SSF), Integrated Natural Resources Environmental Management Project Livelihood Enhancement Support 2 (INREMP - LES 2), and Comprehensive Agrarian Reform Program (CARP).
