DTI NorMin reminds bizmen of online business name registration

Owners of existing and potential business establishments in Northern Mindanao may now renew or apply for business name registration online to avoid face-to-face transactions.

Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Northern Mindanao encourages sole proprietors to register their business name online through the Business Name Registration System’s (BNRS) official website—www.bnrs.dti.gov.ph.

Business owners can proceed to the Business Name Services tab to apply for a new or renewal of business name permit, pay online, and download the certificate of registration.

Registration fee depends on the scope of the business: barangay level—P200; city or municipal level—P500; regional level—P1,000; and national level—P2,000. All business registration fees must also include a P30 documentary stamp.

The DTI business name certificate is valid for 5 years from the date of its original registration. It is one of the requirements needed for applying or renewing the business permit. (DTI-10)
