MAMBAJAO, Camiguin (PIA)--The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE)-10 through Camiguin Provincial Field Office (Cam PFO) Chief Arlyn Z. Bael spearheaded the Tulong Panghanapbuhay sa Ating Disadvantaged/Displaced workers (TUPAD) or emergency employment payout to 477 beneficiaries under the Local Government of Mambajao, February 4 at the Municipal Hall lobby, here.
Bael said the beneficiaries were informal sector workers with ten-days’ employment period, December 27-31, 2021 until January 1-6, 2022 in partnership with the LGU as the Accredited Co-Partner.
A 69-year-old widow and person with disability (PWD) beneficiary Rosita Salva Cainglit said, “Dako akong pasalamat sa DOLE kay nakatabang kini sa among kawad-on. Naa na ko'y pangbayad kuryente ug tubig, ug makapalit usab ako sa akong tambal.”

“TUPAD is a flagship program of Secretary Silvestre H. Bello III. Mapasalamaton kami kay nakatabang ang gobyerno sa mga Mambajaonon hilabina sa panahon sa pandemya ug sa mga vulnerable na mga biktima niini,” Bael said.

TUPAD is a community-based package of assistance that provides emergency employment for displaced workers, underemployed and seasonal workers, for a minimum period of 10 days, but not to exceed 90 days, depending on the nature of work to be performed. (DOLE-10/PIA-10/Camiguin)
