MAFAR employees undergo digital literacy training

MARAWI CITY, Lanao del Sur--A total of 30 participants have undergone training on Information and Communications Technology (ICT) Literacy which focused on Canva Design as part of the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, and Agrarian Reform efforts to capacitate its staff in developing and designing materials that promote its services.

The training, held on March 10-11, was facilitated by the Bangsamoro Information and Communication Technology Office (BICTO) in collaboration with the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) Cotabato City-Maguindanao Training Center.

Engr. Musrifa Mago, chief of the MAFAR-ICT Section, said the activity was aimed to enhance the capabilities of the participants in crafting information and communication materials.

Accordingly, the ICT literacy training on Canva design is a good avenue for the ICTS staff and provincial information officers designated to produce creative materials that are timely and relevant as well as factual information on the different services of MAFAR.

Canva is a free graphic design platform that enables users to create graphic designs and edit photos and videos without extensive editing knowledge or experience.  Crafting of posters, business tarps, business logos, and infographics were among the topics discussed during the training.
