MARAWI CITY, Lanao del Sur--A total of 2,945 residents of the city's Most Affected Area (MAA) received P15, 000 worth of livelihood assistance grants each on March 8 – 17, 2022 from the Ministry of Social Services and Development (MSSD) under its Sustainable Livelihood Program (SLP).
The said assistance will serve as a start-up or additional capital for the beneficiaries' preferred individual microenterprise which include cosmetics retailing, agriculture-veterinary merchandising, automotive and appliance repairing, laundry servicing, computer repair and printing, dressmaking, ready-to-wear clothes selling, fruit and vegetable vending, hollow block making, and livestock raising.
Among the recipients were rice retailers, farmers, fisherfolks, and vendors who will augment the said assistance in their already existing low scale enterprises.
The payout will continue in the coming days and MSSD aims to target 2, 989 livelihood assistance recipients from the 24 barangays covered in MAA.
This is the second batch of beneficiaries from MAA who received assistance under SLP. (MSSD/PIA Lanao del Sur)
