CDO preps for 2022 SGLG Assessment

CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY (PIA)--In preparation for the CY 2022 Seal of Good Local Governance (SGLG), the SGLG Technical Working Group (TWG) of Cagayan de Oro City, with assistance from the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Cagayan de Oro City and DILG Regional Office 10 held an orientation to LGU Department Heads and select representatives from national line agencies (NLAs), March 11, at the City Council Session Hall.

The orientation serves as a guide for the TWG Members to better understand the salient provisions of Republic Act No. 11292, otherwise known as the SGLG Act of 2020, including the CY 2022 indicators and criteria, data capture forms (DCF), and the timeline for this year’s assessment.

For CY 2022 SGLG, it maintains an “all-in” principle where a local government unit must pass all 10 governance areas: (1) Financial Administration and Sustainability; (2) Disaster Preparedness, (3) Social Protection and Sensitivity; (4) Health Compliance and Responsiveness; (5) Sustainable Education, (6) Business-Friendliness and Competitiveness; (7) Safety, Peace and Order; (8) Environmental Management, (9) Tourism, Heritage Development, Culture and Arts; and (10) Youth Development.

Moving forward, the SGLG TWG unanimously agreed that the schedule of assessment by the Regional Assessment Team (RAT) will be on April 20, 2022. (DILG-10/PIA-10)
