CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY (PIA)—Four personalities were arrested in separate buy-bust operations by the Philippine Regional Office (PRO)-10 Regional Drug Enforcement Unit (RDEU), which resulted in the total seizure of P443,300 worth of illegal drugs in Cagayan de Oro City and Bukidnon, May 17.

In an operation conducted by the RDEU-10, Police identified the suspect as Emilio Tabaranza, male, 33, and a resident of Zone 7, Acacia St., Carmen, here.

Confiscated pieces of evidence during the operation were six different sizes of heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing white crystalline substance believed to be shabu weighing more or less six grams with an estimated Standard Drug Price of P40,800, and one P500 bill used as buy-bust money.

In Bukidnon, units also conducted the same operation that led to the arrest of three suspects, namely: Mangontawar Cota; Meindo Cota; and Jamael P. Cota, all are residents of Sitio Potaon, Barangay Malinao, Kalilangan.

Confiscated evidence during the operation were more or less 50 grams of white crystalline substance believed to be shabu with an estimated Standard Drug Price (SDP) of P340,000, 60 stalks of dried marijuana weighing more or less 500 grams with an estimated SDP of P62,500, assorted drug paraphernalia, and one P1,000 bill used as buy-bust money.

Tabaranza is now under the custody of Police Station 3, Cagayan de Oro City Police Office, while the three others are brought to Kalilangan Municipal Police Station, Bukidnon Provincial Police Office for booking and proper disposition.

“Our accomplishments in this PRO are nonstop, hence we will not let up and we will do better in apprehending those people who go against the law. Hindi natin hahayaan na gumawa pa sila ng mga iligal na gawain lalong lalo na dito sa Region 10 (We will not allow them to do illegal acts here in our region),” PRO-10 Regional Director Benjamin Acorda Jr. said.
